Sourire-espoir is a kitchen remodeling contractor in Newport Beach, California. We take on full remodels, but the part of the job we care most about is the surface everyone ends up standing around. In a house that hosts, the island is the bar, the buffet, the homework desk and the place guests set their drinks while they talk. The stone you choose for it will be tested harder than anything else in the room.

That is why we start the conversation with how you use the kitchen rather than with a color. How many people come over on a normal weekend? Does someone make cocktails with fresh citrus? Do hot dishes come out of the oven and go straight onto the counter? Are there kids, a dog, a slider that stays open to the patio from May to October? Those answers narrow the list of sensible stones faster than any showroom visit.

How We Work

We bring samples into your home and test them against what your kitchen will actually see: lemon, wine, oil and a warm pan. If a stone sold as quartzite etches like marble, you find out on a sample, not on your new island. We draw the slab layout so you can see where seams will land, plan overhang supports for seating, and lay out the backsplash from the range centerline so cuts fall where nobody looks.

Newport Beach homes come with their own logistics. Balboa Island and the Peninsula have tight lots, alleys and very little parking for a crew or a stone delivery. Gated communities in Newport Coast set work hours. Older homes in Eastbluff and Dover Shores often hide surprises behind the original cabinets. We plan for those before the demolition day, not during it.

What We Will Not Do

We will not talk you into replacing counters that a polish, a reseal and a new backsplash would bring back. We will not promise that any stone is maintenance free, because none is. And we will not quote a price until we have measured, because stone pricing without measurements is a guess.
